Forty Years Later
The lower photo is of the Stonewall Inn taken this past January when the boyfriend and I were in New York City. Much has changed while much has stayed the same - especially in some parts of backwards states like Virginia.

Virginia is getting lots of new people in the counties near Washington, a major contributor no doubt to its recent Dem governors. Both Virginia & North Carolina are trending more moderate than other Southern states. Georgia is showing no sign of that.
