Sex Tape Backlash: Carrie Prejean Dumped by "Defenders of the Family"

I for one hope that former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean's 15 seconds of fame are over now that her xxx-rated sex tape escapades are known to the knuckle draggers of the Christian Right. I do have to wonder, however, why it took the homophobes so long to figure out that they were being played by Ms. Fake Boobs. Not surprisingly, the New Jersey Family Policy Council never responded to my e-mail asking for a comment on Ms. Prejean's now aborted appearance. Here are some highlights from the Examiner:

Carrie Prejean will not be defending traditional families in New Jersey tonight [this past Friday]. The dethroned Miss California USA was scheduled to be the headliner at a Defenders of the Family fundraiser, but she was removed from the roster following news that her XXX solo sex tape essentially nullified her religious discrimination lawsuit against the Miss USA pageant.

A spokesman for the anti-gay New Jersey Family Policy Council, which organized the event, wouldn't tell TMZ who canceled the appearance or why. Nor would her reps return phone calls about it. In light of Prejean's numerous scandals, however, it's surprising that they scheduled her in the first place. Apparently anti-gay trumps soft porn, but hard-core porn is a deal breaker -- at least when it makes headlines.

Fran Drescher, Aisha Tyler, and Sandra Bernhard join Joy Behar to discuss Carrie Prejean's sex tape. Meanwhile, I have received no response to my e-mail to the New Jersey Family Policy Council requesting an update on whether Ms. Prejean will still be a speaker at today's "Defender of the Family" event. Something tells me that I won't be getting a response. Nothing is more satisfying that seeing phony, hypocritical, false Christians get their comeuppance. Miss California USA Pagent Suing Carrie Prejean

Carrie Prejean, the homophobic former Miss California who was stripped of her crown, is a gift that keeps on giving. Now the pageant is suing Ms. Prejean - who seems to be increasingly delusional and sees herself as some kind of religious martyr - for breach of contract and to recover moneys she received improperly using her short lived title. Any monetary recovery is to be given to charities that will counter some of the hatred that Ms. Christian Taliban has generated. The principal thing that I hope comes out is what a self absorbed, lying psycho Prejean is in reality. Of course, that type of personality makes her a perfect fit with the professional Christians who are only to happy to play along with her image of false martyrdom. I hope the pageant also sues to recover the cost of her boob job too. Here are some highlights from LBGT Pov:

[A]fter Prejean, 22, was fired last August for breach of contract and subsequently filed suit against him and fellow Miss California USA official Shanna Moakler and publicist Roger Neal, Lewis and K2 Productions needed to respond. On Monday, Lewis and K2 Productions filed a cross-complaint and demurrer in Los Angeles Superior Court.

[Prejean] treated us terribly. She violated her contract ten ways to Sunday – and she brought a suit against us. She was fired. [If she was] wrongly terminated, why wouldn’t she sue for breach of contract? She didn’t sue for breach of contract because she knows she breached the contract and she knows she should have been fired.She sued for religious discrimination so that she could stand up and she could continue to foster this talking point that she’s been on.”

Specifically, the cross-complaint says that Prejean agreed to: “give both the Miss Universe Organization and K2 control over rights to her name, likeness, and image; control over her public appearances; and control over her provision of any entertainment, literary, endorsement and related services, both in connection with the State Pageant and during her reign (if she won) as Miss California USA.”

[W]e have documented behavior and if you look at our lawsuit – we’re specifically giving emails where she says. ‘I’m not going to do this,’ ‘I’m not going there,’ ‘I’m not going to do what you tell me.’” . . . she cast the first stone and what we’re doing is saying, ‘OK – now we’re going to give you the truth.’ And we’re looking to take all of the profits from her book. We’ll donate everything outside of the expense of what we have paid – to a cause that will counter some of the things she’s done, that would counter the damage that’s she done.”

Lewis notes that current Miss California, Tami Farrell, also does not believe in same sex marriage but - “she’s out every single day, doing the job. Carrie had her own agenda. She had our banner. She had our funding [for breast augmentation, among other things] – and once she was done with what she needed from us, then she went about her own agenda and hijacked our crown and our banner and used it for her own gain.”

Trump Finally Fires Prejean

Anti-gay bimbo Carrie Prejean has belatedly been fired by Donald Trump and lost her Miss California crown. From the media coverage, Trump finally had enough of Prejean's attitude that she could do whatever she wants including ignoring her contractual duties as Miss California. It would be wonderful if she'd simply fade away from the scene but based on her past behavior we may not be that lucky. I will not be surprised if she doesn't try to depict herself as a Christian martyr somehow. She and the anti-gay Christianist forces truly deserve each other. Donald Trump has told TMZ that he has finally relented and has given the go-ahead to fire Carrie Prejean. Here's the official word. K2 Productions, the independent producers of the Miss California USA pageant, under license from Miss Universe, mention continued breach-of-contract issues as the reason for Prejean's firing.

"This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations," Keith Lewis, executive director of K2 Productions, said in the docs. "After our press conference in New York, we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.” Even Trump says that Carrie just wouldn't do the job she agreed to do and she behaved like a B-word to everyone but him. No, not "bigot," the other B-word.

TMZ quotes one of her e-mails: "You do not cooperate with me ... you pick and chose [sic] the the [sic] things YOU want me to do. That is not happening anymore. Stop speaking for me. I have MY own voice." And BTW, the Donald doesn't think her bad attitude has anything to do with her stand on homosexuality.

I know, I know - I said I was finished posting about Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA turned darling of the Christian Right and the anti-gay marriage forces. However, Ms. Prejean is turning into the gift that keeps on giving - delight to to those of us who are sick of the self-anointed keepers of morality and I suspect increasing horror amongst the Christianists. Turns out that Ms. Prejean likes to flash her God given - or perhaps pageant sponsored - hooters off to photographers. Perhaps Pam Spaulding at Pam's House Blend says it best. You knew it was only a matter of time before another thing that Maggie's pious National Organization for Marriage touches blows up in its face. Nude photos of Miss Pageant-Paid-for-Jugs-for-Jesus have surfaced and the devoted "Christian" is forced to explain herself. Of course she's just a victim, right? Miss California USA Exposed - Fake Breasts and All

Now that Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA, has signed onto the anti-gay agenda of the Christianists hook line and sinker - U.S. News & World Report is reporting that she's hired the same PR firm that represents pathological liar Rick Warren, and the insanely homophobic Southern Baptist Convention - it is only appropriate that she is being exposed for what she truly is: an artificial, vapid, self-congratulatory "godly Christian" who seems to be all so typical among the professional Christian organization women (like Concerned Women for America's current president): Big poofed out hair, breast implants and trained to mindlessly parrot discredited lies about LGBT Americans. Apparently the Miss USA Pageant is none to happy with the divisive twit that Ms. Prejean is proving herself to be. In fact, the Pageant has confirmed that it paid for her new breasts and that it's none too happy that she is not fulfilling her duties as Miss California. She might even lose her crown - the horror!!
