We hear the far right in particular always bloviating about "American exceptionalism." They are right in one sick aspect of American society. We slaughter one another with hand guns more than any other developed country. Don't tell me insane number of guns isn't a prime motivating factor. How many front pages like this one do we need to see before something changes?
