New Blog Comment Policy

It seems that on a regular basis that those who lack the courage of their own convictions like to post anonymous comments on this blog that either engage in personal attacks against me or seek to use the blog as a platform from which to put out their own opinions. Typically, theses anonymous views disagree with my views and opinions. And all the while the author(s) hide their identity. Therefore, I have taken the step of modifying the comment posting options on this blog. Going forward, to leave a comment, one will need to either have a Google account or utilize Open ID.

I do not want to appear petulant, but asking that comment authors - especially those who seek to engage in personal attacks and/or threats - identify themselves in order to have a comment published is not asking too much.

Reduced Postings

The boyfriend and I are going to be doing a little traveling over the next day or so, and as a result, I will likely be posting less frequently although I will have my laptop with me and hopefully will be able to access the Internet. If not, I will post again when I have Internet access.

New Policy On Comment Publishing

I have previously indicated that I have very little patience (okay, no patience) with those who seek to post comments of a snide and nasty tone yet are so gutless and cowardly that they do it as "anonymous." I do not expect everyone to agree with my views and opinions, but I at least am not afraid to reveal my identity. Going forward, any derogatory comment that is posted by "anonymous" or similar name that lacks a confirming e-mail address or link to a blogger profile will be rejected when I review comments for moderation.
This may seem harsh, but in my view, if one does not have the courage to speak their views openly and without hiding, then they will not be published on this blog. The authors of such comments need to grow some balls and get a back bone. Should someone for a valid reason not want their name published, they can e-mail me and explain the circumstances. Those who merely want to be anonymous nasty, bitchy queens and the like will not be accommodated.
