Sally Kern's Latest Anti-Gay Screed

Even as more GOP politicos are trashing the sanctity of marriage, Oklahoma nutcase Sally Kern is off making yet another anti-gay screed and blaming LGBT Americans for the decline of morality - as if we made John Stanford and John Ensign somehow cheat on their wives. The woman is seriously disturbed to say the least given her never ending obsession with gays. Kern's latest eruption of batshittery took place at the disingenuous Americans for Truth conference in Chicago on June 17 where she spouted off claiming to highlighting President Obama’s radical homosexualist agenda. Here are some highlights from Kern's latest verbal diarrhea:

The homosexual agenda is only one symptom of the real problem in America. The problem is that we have forsaken the Judeo-Christian values upon which this nation was founded. Noah Webster declared: “The principles of genuine liberty and of wise laws and administrations are to be drawn from the Bible.”

There are two conflicting worldviews vying for power. The secular humanist worldview versus the Judeo-Christian or Biblical worldview. Humanism sees the world as impersonal matter shaped by chance with man just another animal. There is no basis for values or laws. The Biblical worldview recognizes a Creator who established moral laws and absolute truth as revealed in the Bible. Man, made in God’s image, is priceless.

For the first time in America’s history, we have a president who has no understanding of the Biblical worldview and who has even less understanding of the truths of the Bible. This is evident when he says that support for homosexual “marriage” [unions] can be found in the Sermon on the Mount or that certain passages in Romans are just obscure passages. Whereas George Washington expelled from his military those who practiced sodomy, President Obama honors sodomites by proclaiming an entire month as Gay Pride Month, but he won’t acknowledge one day for our National Day of Prayer.

Today we have a national moral crisis and leading the charge against religion and morality is the homosexual agenda with the president carrying their water.

If Obama is so busy "carrying our water," why is it that he's under non-stop attack by LGBT organizations for having lied to us during his campaign. I think Kern must be living in some parallel universe from the rest of us.

Reparative Therapy Quack Cat Fight

UPDATED: Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute likes to write extremely nasty hate pieces on gay Americans but seems to like to hide her own face from public view. A reader sent me a captured photo of Ms. Higgins. I think it only appropriate that we can put a face to the hateful propaganda she disseminates. Thanks NG! (P.S. She looks pretty frigid to me).

I'd be lying if I did not confess that I find great sport in watching our Christianist opponents indulging in some back stabbing of one another. The latest set to is between Warren Throckmorton - who for a while appeared to be the future high priest of the reparative therapy/"pray away the gay" movement - and the homo obsessed Peter LaBarbera. And what was Throckmorton's sin? Moderating his formerly extreme anti-gay views and support for bogus reparative therapy programs and proposing something called the "Golden Rule Pledge" instead of boycotting and/or ridiculing the "Day of Silence" program in public schools. While I suspect that Throckmorton's increased moderation may be motivated by a desire not to be ostracized by the American Psychological Association, his changed approach to gays is welcome. Here's Throckmorton on the Golden Rule Pledge:

We believe the teaching of Christ in the Golden Rule should guide our actions and attitudes regarding all. We also believe that we should work to make school a safe place for all students. Thus, we advocate students spread a message like this on the Day of Silence: This is what I’m doing: I pledge to treat others the way I want to be treated. Will you join me in this pledge? “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” (Luke 6:31).

Throckmorton's other heresy according the the Peter consists of statements Throckmoton made on Michelangelo Signorile's show. Here are highlights from The Peter's attack on Throckmorton :

Throckmorton aims to steer Christians in a new (more ambiguous) direction on homosexuality, but many evangelical pro-family leaders active in opposing the GLBT [gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender] activist agenda are wary of his alliances and ideas, finding them to be more serving of the pro-homosexuality movement than Christian truth. There is no more troubling example of that than Throckmorton’s July 2007 radio interview with well-known homosexual activist Mike Signorile, which includes the following excerpt:

WARREN THROCKMORTON: The aim of Sexual Identity Therapy is a satisfied life - a client who believes that they have come to an integration of their conflicts, and we’re, by the way, only talking about people who are in conflict.

MIKE SIGNORILE: So you think it is normal, natural and healthy for people who come out and accept that being homosexual — accept being gay — and completely have no issues with their religious faith — you believe — would you describe the words as [strong emphasis by Signorile] ‘normal, natural and healthy’– that that is fine?

THROCKMORTON: Yes. Yes, I have been very clear about that in my public statements, that the efforts to demonize people who accept their homosexuality and come out as gay have been futile.

Sadly, LaBarbera and his minions at the so-called Americans for Truth About Homosexuality do nothing but demonize LGBT Americans and Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute has published an open letter screed against Throckmorton after he correctly identified the hate based motivations of Ms. Higgins and her organization. Her attack reads in part as follows:

Illinois Family Institute finds your title not only inaccurate and wholly without justification but also irresponsible in that it contributes to the pernicious deceit that Christians hate, fear, or seek to separate themselves from those who identify as homosexual.

Political protest does not belong in the classroom. Taxpayer-subsidized instructional time should not be manipulated, exploited, or disrupted for any social or political goals or messages. . . . the important goal of ending bullying does not justify the means of intruding into and disrupting instructional time; nor does it justify the use of public money to transform society’s views on the nature and morality of volitional sexual conduct.

[O]pposition to political action in the classroom and opposition to the efforts of activist educators to inculcate students with their unproven, controversial theories on the moral status of homosexual behavior do not constitute support for bullying.

Ms. Higgins can claim that she and her organization do not demonize gays citizens, but a casual reading of the anti-gay articles on her organization's website concerning gays is all the proof one needs. Ms. Higgins, like the majority of anti-gay Christianists is a liar who knowingly disseminates untrue information that depicts gays a menace to society and as little more than vermin. This time, Throckmorton correctly called a spade a spade. Kudos to him for doing so.

Christianist Hyperventilate Over Latest California Supreme Court Ruling

I previously posted about the California Supreme Court ruling that held that doctors could not pick and choose who they will treat based on their alleged religious beliefs. Not surprisingly, The Peter - i.e., Peter Labarbera with whom I have had a number of confrontations on his false anti-gay rhetoric - is absolutely beside himself. The Peter seems to have never had a real job and moves from one made up organization after another to continue his anti-gay jihad (when not doing "under cover" research at gay leather events, that is). His latest organization, Americans for [Un]Truth About Homosexuality, is an example of how LaBarbera has made a bizarre career out of lying about LGBT citizens and trying to shake dollars from the pockets of sheeple. His latest scree exemplifies the Christianist view that only they should have legal rights under the law. If your views and beliefs counter theirs, then you are to forfeit your rights in favor of their theocratic rule. Here are some highlights from his disingenuous rant which could clearly encourage the unbalanced to pursue anti-gay violence:

Folks, if California is truly a pacesetter for the nation, then America is in big trouble. How ironic that pro-homosexual so-called “nondiscrimination” laws are the new tool for activist-minded judges and liberal legislators to DISCRIMINATE against people of faith. This astonishing 7-0 California Supreme Court decision is further proof that homosexual agenda laws — which create newfangled “rights” based on deviant sexual and gender preferences — are incompatible with our cherished, historic American liberties. . .

The “gay” movement is in the vanguard of destroying religious freedom in this nation — even as “queer” activists (and their attorneys) continue to play the victim card. Homosexual “Rights” vs. Religious Freedom is a zero-sum game: when “gay” lawyers win, as in this case, look for freedom to lose. What further proof do we need that “rights” based on sexual perversion are themselves a perversion of genuine civil rights?

The lesson for pro-family advocates and lovers of liberty is clear: in states where there are no ’sexual orientation’ laws, they must never be passed. In states where pro-homosexual laws are on the books, they must be repealed to preserve freedom.

I find it very disturbing that rather than get the much needed therapy he requires to find self-acceptance and to resolve his intense self-hate over his suppressed desire to suck cock, The Peter continues to spread anti-gay hate against law abiding LGBT citizens who merely seek equality under the laws. NOTE: If my comments seem extreme it is because The Peter repeatedly knowingly puts out false information, pretends he did know it was false when confronted, and then does it all over again in his pursuit of money and influence.

Christian Blog Bashes Peter LaBarbera's (and Others') Obsession with Homosexuality

I must admit that it is a bit refreshing to find that not all Christianists are totally obsessed solely with one’s sexual orientation. That is not to say that the ChristianResearchNetwork would be described as exactly gay friendly. Here’s what was said about Americans for Truth about Homosexuality, Peter LaBarbera’s latest vehicle and gimmick in making money off attacking gays (http://christianresearchnetwork.info/2008/02/19/the-sexuality-obcession/#comment-51308):

I am trying really hard to figure out why Christians are so obsessed with letting the world know the truth behind homosexuality. If I felt like they were doing it because they cared deeply about the people who live the lifestyle, and want desperately for them to experience the life that God designed for them, I would not have a problem with all of it. However, that is certainly not the vibe I am getting from these sites. They are more concerned about winning their debate than facilitating life transformation in the hearts of homosexuals. It’s basically saying “we don’t care about you, but we want you to know that we completely disagree with your lifestyle.” And why is it just homosexuality. They act as if that is the BIG sin in the scriptures, dismissing all other destructive behaviors and choices. . . . I don’t think that’s what God was hoping we would become.

In answer to the question, at least in terms of Peter LaBarbera with whom I have had heated e-mail debates in the pst, I posted the following comment on the blog:

Why? Three reasons in my view: (1) MONEY - almost Peter’s entire “career” has been based on bad mouthing gays and making money off it in the process; (2) POLITICS – to fight against gay rights and non-discrimination, it is essential that Peter and those like him continue to maintain the myth that sexual orientation is a matter of choice; (3) CLOSET CASE – in my experience, only those with severe issues with their own sexual orientation get as hysterical over homosexuality as LaBarbera does. As an aside, I would also note that LaBarbera has real issues when in comes to not parroting information that he knows is untrue if it furthers his anti-gay agenda.
