Unlike two years ago when we visited Fort Lauderdale, this year the weather has been great - temperatures around 80 degrees each day and sunny to partly cloudy. On Sunday we went to Sebastain Beach (pictured above) which is a short walk from The Grand Resort where we met friends and soaked up the warmth and sun. In the late afternoon, we went to Wilton Manor visited Mix Menswear and bought a few things, and then met friends for drinks at their home before walking over to Ethos Greek Bistro on Wilton Drive (one of our favorite restaurants). With Covid cases spiking, we have only frequented restaurants with open air seating and/or window systems that open up entire walls.
Yesterday we hung by the pool and sun deck at the Grand Resort before visiting other friends who moved to Pampano Beach. We had lunch at their retirement complex - which is like a resort - and then hit Pride Factory on the way back to the guest house for some more shopping for clothing styles that we cannot find in Hampton Roads. Back at the Grand Resort , we caught some more sun before heading to Coconuts (our view from our table is pictured below) for great sea food.
Today will be another pool day - I have work emails and work to deal with this morning - with dinner with friends at either the Coral Ridge Yacht Club or Lauderdale Yacht Club.
PS - for those wondering, yes, we are masking up when in stores.
