Today is Veterans Day and it is timely to remember those who have served and sacrificed. The image above is my late father who served in WWII. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and landed in France the day after D-Day. Before returning to America and continuing his college education, he served in various parts of France, spending time in Paris and ended the war as Fire Marshall for the city of Marseilles. The image below is of my daughter and her husband who did three deployments in Afghanistan in the Stryker Brigade Engineer Company before being serious wounded just less than a year ago. Thankfully, he has recovered well and is back in Washington State.
I thank them for their dedicated service.
