The hypocrisy of anti-gay marriage hypocrites sometimes seems to know no limits - especially since one of the tactics of the Proposition 8 proponents was to shriek and wail that gay marriage posed a threat to children. That fabricated threat, however, is nothing compared to the very real threat posed by "godly Christians" like Pastor Tom Daniels of First Baptist Church in Rio Linda, California (pictured at right), who is being held on $6 Million bail after being charged with multiple felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old and sexual conduct with a child. Why is it that the Christianists always seem to transfer their own bizarre sexual lusts and perversions and try to attribute them to LGBT citizens? KTXL-TV 40 has coverage on Daniels' arrest. First Baptist Church of Rio Linda senior pastor Tom Daniels was arrested December 9th. According to records at the Sacramento County Jail, he is facing one charge of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age, and another charge for engaging in multiple sexual assaults of a child.

The news that a possible pedophile was in their midst was upsetting enough to Rio Linda residents, but many are also asking why no one told them that the arrest had been made.

The pastor was arrested not in Rio Linda, but in Citrus Heights and the Citrus Heights Police Department says it is not ready to release any further information about the investigation...only that it is ongoing.

More information about the case and the threat to the Rio Linda community could be coming out as early as next week. For those that live just feet from the church's front door, these will be long days coming.
