A Foul Odor in Richmond - The Family Foundation

In a state that has more than its share of Bible beating fascists - Pat Robertson, Liberty University, Regent University, the Arlington Group, Chuck Colson's prison indoctrination "ministry," AG Ken Cuccinelli - The Family Foundation ("TFF"), an affiliate of Daddy Dobson's Focus on the Family, is nonetheless one of the most insidious. Generally speaking through its homo obsessed president, Victoria Cobb, but with tentacles all across Virginia, TFF maintains a constant anti-gay drum beat and relentlessly seeks to impose a perverse version of so-called Christianity on all Virginians. In fact, Ms. Cobb and TFF want the special right to malign and demonize virtually anyone who doesn't drink from their vat of specially laced Kool-Aid. Part of this process is striving to make life a living hell for gay teens and keeping them as open game for abuse and bullying in the Commonwealth's public schools. Ms. Cobb is so anti-gay obsessed that she likely pats herself on the back telling herself "job well done" each time a story breaks of a gay teen committing suicide because he/she can no longer stand the abuse. How a supposed Christian can make a career out of causing misery for others is truly mind boggling, but that's Victoria Cobb for you. Now, she and TFF have launched a tirade over the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN") effort to expand the number of much needed gay-straight alliances in Virginia's public schools. TFF talks about "truth" in politics, yet Ms. Cobb is among the most disingenuous liars in the entire Commonwealth of Virginia. Here are highlights from Cobb's latest anti-gay screed to her Kool-Aid drinking followers:

Efforts to increasingly sexualize our children will be at an all time high this fall. The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), a national organization, recently selected its Richmond Chapter to conduct a pilot program to promote the homosexual agenda in 60 Central Virginia middle schools.

GLSEN works through its local chapters with the goal of imposing its morality on today’s youth. GLSEN explains its mission this way:

Since homophobia and heterosexism undermine a healthy school climate, we work to educate teachers, students and the public at large about the damaging effects these forces have on youth and adults alike. We recognize that forces such as racism and sexism have similarly adverse impacts on communities and we support schools in seeking to redress all such inequities.

GLSEN’s materials regularly undermine both parental authority and religious teaching. They seek to separate children from their families and from their faith upbringing. Is this what you’ve intended your tax dollars to be used for in our public schools? GLSEN is encouraging students to question and ultimately reject what they learn from their parents and church community regarding sexuality.

Contact the guidance department at your local middle school and urge them to reject the GLSEN “Safe Schools” agenda. Additionally, if you have a child enrolled in a Central Virginia public middle school, get especially involved in your child’s education this fall and keep an eye on what your child is being taught. Our schools should be safe — in the true sense of the word — and our children protected from liberal indoctrination.

Personally, if there is the Hell that Ms. Cobb claims to believe it, I suspect she already has a special reserved space in it for all the harm and misery she has cause to so many Virginians of all ages.
