OWS vs. the Tea Party

Dan Nexon came up with the chart above - click on it to enlarge the image - that compares the strengths and weaknesses of the Tea Party versus the Occupy Wall Street phenomenon. The good news is that the core constituency of the Tea Party is old white people, a group that is literally dying off, albeit perhaps not fast enough to save the country from damage flowing from their lunacy, and which represents a declining percentage of the public. I don't agree with everything that the OWS crowd wants, but they at least seem to be looking to the future while the Tea Party is all about the past, maintaining religious based bigotry, and rejecting modern scientific knowledge. They want to return to an America that in part never really existed and they want to maintain white supremacy.
