I will be honest. I've never liked Paul Ryan who I see as a spoiled, self-centered rich kid - sound like Mitt Romney? - who in the final analysis doesn't give a flying you know what about others. Especially those who are less fortunate. Now, in an apparent moment of desperation, Ryan is apparently trying to morph into a male version of the insane, brain dead Sarah Palin, and is claiming that "Obama threatens America's Judeo-Christian values." Never mind that Ryan's own budget plan throws Christian social justice values down the toilet and makes a mockery of the Gospel message to feed the hungry, cloth the naked and give shelter to the homeless. Indeed, even the typically morally bankrupt Catholic bishops took issue with Ryan's budget proposals and claim that it was in line with his Catholic faith. Daily Kos looks at Ryan's desperate effort to channel Palin to save his sorry ass in this election that I sincerely hope he and Romney are about to lose. Here are excerpts:
Speaking to Ralph Reeds 'Faith and Freedom Coalition' Ryan said:
“It’s a dangerous path,” Ryan said on his opening remarks on the call, which has been rescheduled at least once. “It’s a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, western civilization values that made us such a great an exceptional nation in the first place.Ryan went on with some other nonsense:“It’s because so many people around this country are praying for us and offering their prayers and coming up and giving us so many mementos that show they really care about this country and that they’re praying for us,” Ryan said.So yeah...its because so many people are praying for them that... they're praying for them?“Imagine what he would do if he actually got reelected. It just puts a chill down my spine,” Ryan said. You mean like end the wars, kill Osama, expand healthcare to more americans, reduce our reliance on foreign oil and even 'halting the rise of the seas'. Yes... I can see how that would send a chill down your spine Mr. Ryan.
Even the troll-infested waters of Yahoo News are not having any of this 'bunch of stuff':
Just more proof from the GOP/Romney tool named Ryan that the GOP wants to force Christianity down America's throat and could care less about other races and what religions they believe. Racists the whole lot of them. Obama for the win!If God doesn't like Obama, then why didn't McCain win in 2008?Mr. Ryan, what are you going to do about those Americans who do not updhold Judeo-Christian, western civilization values? There are lots of Americans who are Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs, Agnostics as well as Atheists. What happened to Separation of church and state? Weren’t the Republicans the party of the constitution? At least thats what those guys down at the Tea party rally dressed in colonial costumes were saying.
Let's get real. Ryan is a nasty douche bag who would leave grandma to eat dry dog food if it allowed he and his wealthy friends to pay lower taxes. As for the rest of us, we're on our own. It's definitely NOT the message of Christ.
