As part of my Christmas gift, the boyfriend took me to New York City for New Year's weekend - he has a friend who has an apartment on Christopher Street in the West Village where we stayed - and one of the places we visited was Sheridan Square located across the
street from the Stonewall Inn. In the Square is a memorial to the Stonewall Riots in 1968 which helped launched the modern day gay rights movement. These are photos we took at the memorial (
