I am deeply struck that most of the images of handsome and thoughtful-seeming men receive little to no attention in your blogs, Mr. Hamar. I admit that the beautiful cleft chin is gorgeous without being intellectual, but the mouth and eyes suggest (to me, anyway) something far beyond mere "hotness." This man is a Person--or so my longings want to believe. Thank you for posting his picture. Maybe it is because I am in my 15th-20th read of Renault's THE CHARIOTEER that I am looking for personhood.
Mr. Hamar--this is my second try at an apology for leaving an anonymous comment about the picture above--not on purpose. I am Eric Linder, a retired English teacher in Bloomfield Hills, MI (University Liggett, Grosse Pte.; Cranbrook Schools, Bloomfield Hills. As a 43-year veteran of teaching and desk-work, I am in deep admiration of your dogged devotion to your blog, much (I suspect) as it costs you.
Eric, thanks for the comments. The blog is my therapy, if you will, and it has brought me in contact with many wonderful people literally from all around the world. Thanks for being a reader.
