GOP Candidates Condemn Prop 8 Ruling - Perform Political Fellatio on Christianists

Not surprisingly, the majority of the contenders for the GOP presidential nominee unanimously and vitriolically condemned the 9th Circuit's ruling today on Proposition 8 and did their best to out do one another in giving the political equivalent of fellatio on the anti-gay Christofascists who comprise much of the base of today's GOP. Frankly, I believe that some of these candidates - Romney and Gingrich in particular - would sell their own mothers for pocket change if they believed it would further their political interests . Here are some samplings from Towleroad. First Mitt Romney:

“Today, unelected judges cast aside the will of the people of California who voted to protect traditional marriage. This decision does not end this fight, and I expect it to go to the Supreme Court. That prospect underscores the vital importance of this election and the movement to preserve our values. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman and, as president, I will protect traditional marriage and appoint judges who interpret the Constitution as it is written and not according to their own politics and prejudices.”

Romney, of course, has the additional pressure from the gay hating Mormon Church to speak out against and promise to marginalize and denigrate LGBT citizens. Then there's this from thrice married serial adulterer Newt Gingrich who has shown by his own sleazy and despicable actions how little respect he actually holds for the "sanctity of marriage":

And not to be outdone, Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum could not let today go by without anti-gay bigotry.

Needless to say, these individuals sicken me and like so many self-professed "godly Christians" make a strong argument for leaving Christianity entirely.
