Another Example of How "Christians" Set the Stage for Gay Suicides

Imagine yourself as a gay in your early teens growing up in in Holland, Michigan and you happen to flip through the local newspaper, the Holland Sentinel, and find the ad set forth above. Somehow, I don't think it is going to make you believe that "it gets better." Indeed, I suspect it will freak you out and scare the crap out of you if you're still in the closet and debating whether to come out to friends and family. This foul message was placed by Now Jesus Ministries. One has to wonder about the judgment of the Holland Sentinel which ran the advertisement. Even a biased rage like the Virginian Pilot probably wouldn't have touched the ad. But then again, the Holland Sentinel published a full page ad for Family Research Counsel, a registered hate group, back during the summer, so I can only assume the newspaper's motto is "anything for a buck." I wonder when the paper will be running an ad for the Klu Klux Klan?
