Gay Mormon wins Survivor: China

Todd Herzog, a 22-year-old gay Mormon flight attendant from Pleasant Grove, Utah, has won the million dollar prize on the latest edition of "Survivor": China. Herzog, a longtime fan of "Survivor," won the CBS reality show's $1 million prize after 39 days of lying and scheming. As noted by As Good As You (http://www.goodasyou.org/), it will be interesting to see if Mitt Romney will congratulate his fellow church member on the victory. After all, Mitt is trying to make Mormons look more like mainstream Americans. Though As Good As You note that "we hear he [Mitt] might, just as long as he can find the right words to both commend his faith and demean his sexual orientation in the same breath.
No doubt some of the wingnuts of the Christian Right will claim it is part of Hollywood's insideous effort to further the "gay agenda." As the winner noted (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071217/ap_en_tv/tv_survivor_finale):

"I wasn't the strongest. I wasn't the smartest," Herzog said during the finale. "But I was definitely the most strategic."
