Sail Virginia - A Visit By Tall Ships

With the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown upon us, from around the globe, tall ships have set course for Hampton Roads to participate in Sail Virginia 2007. The spectacle should be magnificent. The ships will range from the grand full-rigged ships to sleek schooners and small ketches. The event, running June 7 to 11, will feature a fleet of more than 50 tall ships, military and character vessels from the United States, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Germany, India, the Netherlands and Uruguay.

Of course one of the interesting parts will be all the foreign crews in town as part of the event. I have posted a photo of Brazil's vessel, the Cisne Branco, since Brazil seems to produce so many gorgeous guys! This link provides information on a number of the other notable vessels coming to the area: http://content.hamptonroads.com/story.cfm?story=125790&ran=108264
